Greenwich Street
private Home
Inhabited by a young couple for several years, this 2,500-square-foot apartment needed to adapt it to the needs of their growing family.
Dumais undertook a thorough remodeling that included new flooring, lighting, millwork, furnishings, and paint scheme. The result injected character and utility into the space while retaining its original renovated-warehouse charm.

Entry
A family-friendly entry hall was a fun and practical addition. Coco-fiber matting and a braided-wool runner lead to a handsome storage area, where the custom oak bench’s drawers are accented with leather handles.
Dining Room
A slatted wood bench nestled between lacquered closets brought a new element of versatility to the dining room. The tactile qualities of walnut and bleached maple add warmth.
Play Area
In the children’s play area, cork and blackboard surfaces flip down as a Murphy bed and built-in shelves pull out to serve as nightstands. The result is a highly adaptable family space, one that gains character from vintage furnishings and a floor of reclaimed plank wood.
master bedroom
The master bedroom was reimagined as more of a sanctuary. An oversized linen light fixture hangs ethereally, and a floating credenza runs the length of the window. To achieve a more natural color contrast throughout, Dumais repainted green window frames a simple black.
